Notes to Wendy's Bible Study

Good morning Guys. I continue to read and pray from David Muyskens' book, Forty Days. Today I'm on day 26. You can see, I have not been faithful to do it everyday. This one was especially helpful.You may remember, he said to enter the time of prayer with no expectations. That has been a problem for me. I have had expectations. And, of course, they have not been fulfilled. You know that, I know that. Yet, I still have them. Pray for me will you. Help me to not follow my own expectations. I miss you guys. Even so we are having a great time in Arizona. Getting to know some friends from Kansas, swimming, biking a bit, eating a lot and enjoying the weather. Hope to come back refreshed and enthused.See you in February. My reading has included a book by Tim Keller, "Jesus the King". If you get a chance, take a look. We might want to study this one. Its a commentary on the gospel by Mark. I hope you are doing well with the Theology study. Remember to "Praise God in all things". I have talked to Paul Schmidt. He is recovering after having fallen. He did have repair surgery on some facial bones. Tricky and risky surgery. It went well according to the doctor. He will spend this Winter in Florida recuperating. Is not allowed to fly. Pray for him and Cathy. I hope you are all well.My best to you all.
